I always choose the older/senior horses to join the Misfits, but we had a very unique situation come about and a baby that desperately required a home and some urgently needed medical care. This poor boy wasn’t able to eat because of a pretty severe dental issue. So over the past 2 weeks he’s undergone treatment, is healing nicely, and finally gaining weight!
Meet Cupcake (Cake for short. Named because he looks so much like my Pie).
He’s boarding/recovering/and will be training at my friend’s facility where he is spoiled rotten daily (and has the time to heal and gain weight without competing with Wesley for food/attention). This little boy is a sweetheart and essentially an oversized Golden Retriever.
